Overview

The Client is providing Transportation as a Service to hone Desirability, Feasibility, and Viability. 

 

Mobile-enabled SaaS platforms that help dispatchers, drivers and riders manage their transportation needs and operations. Within this platform is a trip dispatching portal for assigning trips to drivers, automated driver assignment engine, optimized route creation, driver mobile application for executing trips, and rider experience services with a mobile application for booking and payment.

Rider Experience Services and mobile application, high-level process flow, assumptions, potential enhancements and modifications to the platform, effort, timeline, and cost of the program.

Goals and Objectives

The key goals of the project include:

  1. Implementing the rider creation of trips, manage the assignment, execution, and visibility of the trips across all stakeholders, and receive payment of the trip from the rider

  2. Expand from FREE rides across dealerships to a growing rider network that extends beyond the pilot area.

  3. Capture rider feedback frequently and quickly turnaround resolutions to rider or driver blockers

Key Success Factors

  1. Seamless Trip Lifecycle from Book to Assign to Execute to Pay

  2. Provide an enjoyable rider experience through a mobile rider app

App Workflow

  1. A map screen is shown to the rider with a segmented view at top that says "One-Way" and "Round-trip"

  2. If One-Way is selected 2 location fields are shown, Pickup and Drop-off - with a requested PU Time

  3. If Round-trip is selected 4 location boxes will show. PU DO then wait time and PU and DO. The return trip will default to the reverse A leg but can be updated.

  4. After confirmation, a map view is shown with pins dropped on the location.

  5. On same confirmation screen need a Trip $ amount, discount code section,  with a summary of all legs and give 'Book' button

  6. After Booking the trip the rider is taken through the onboarding screen which lets them "Sign up" through Facebook, Gmail, or regular Email.

  7. After login, the rider will be required to enter credit card information. Number, CVV, Expiration Date

  8. Confirmation of message shown with masked Credit Card info

  9. 'Confirm' button will book the trip

  10. After the trip is completed, the rider will receive a receipt via Email with the billed amount and trip summary with masked credit card
